Questions before you post a project.

You describe the outcome. Hire Freelancer writes the scope, coordinates the specialists and checks the work before handover. These are the short answers. The longer ones sit on the pages linked from each topic.

01

The relationship

You post an outcome. Hire Freelancer scopes it, selects the specialists and reviews the work before handover.

Is Hire Freelancer a freelancer marketplace?

No. You post the outcome. Hire Freelancer scopes it, selects specialists, manages the work and reviews it before handover. There is no bidding round and no profile browsing.

Do I interview specialists or compare bids?

No. There is no bidding round and no candidate interviews. Specialists are selected for the work and coordinated inside one delivery process.

Can one project include design and development?

Yes. Research, UX, UI, development, content, SEO, QA and automation can sit inside one managed project. The categories are on services.

Who is accountable if something is late?

Hire Freelancer is the point of responsibility for the managed project. You talk to one team, not a group of separate contractors.

02

Starting a project

A sentence is enough to open scoping. Delivery starts when the written scope and the price are agreed.

What if my brief is incomplete?

That is expected. Name the result, the date that matters and who approves the work. Files, examples and a budget range can come with the form.

Do I need a finished brief?

A sentence is enough. Clarifying questions come before anything is scoped. The intake is on post a project.

When does a project start?

When the scope and price are agreed. Describing an outcome, or posting a brief, starts scoping, not delivery. The stages are on how it works.

Where is the work delivered?

For Australian businesses. Prices are in AUD and invoices are prepared plus GST. Communication is Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm. The business context is on for Australian businesses.

03

While the project is open

Status, messages, files, approvals and invoices stay on the project in the workspace.

How do I see progress?

The workspace shows status, milestones, messages, files, approvals and invoices for that project.

Where do messages and files belong?

On the project, in the workspace. Email is for an invoice, a privacy request, or a question that is not on the project. Where each kind of message goes is on contact.

When can the project description change?

In the workspace, until delivery starts. After delivery starts, a change to the agreed scope is priced and agreed before it joins the plan.

What if we want something that was not in the scope?

It is treated as a change. It is priced and agreed before it is added to the plan. A message or a file in the workspace does not expand the scope on its own.

04

Price and handover

The price is in AUD plus GST and tied to the written scope. Handover is the agreed deliverables, reviewed before you are asked to accept them.

How is pricing shown?

As a project price in AUD plus GST, tied to the agreed deliverables. It is not a public rate card of individual freelancers. Example ranges are on the pricing page.

What price is published?

A marketing website is published at $7,800 + GST. Discovery, monthly capacity and support after handover are quoted from the brief.

What happens after handover?

You receive the agreed deliverables, files and notes. Fixes, small changes or a next phase are agreed separately, unless the scope already includes support.

Who owns the deliverables?

The written scope states what is being produced. Ownership of those agreed deliverables transfers as set out in the scope after payment. Materials you supplied stay yours. The commercial basis is in the project terms.

Start without a perfect brief

Start with the outcome. We will build the plan.

A sentence, a file, or a rough budget is enough to open the project. Clarifying questions come before any work is scoped.
